Have you ever dreamed of creating your own custom made shampoo and conditioner. What would it mean to you to have beauty products specifically formulated for your unique needs? Even better, what if all the products required to do your hair everyday came all together in your shampoo and conditioner? Think of all the time and money you could save.
Formulate is a new type of shampoo and conditioner that takes not only your hair needs into consideration, but also your lifestyle. Given the opportunity to test out their product I jumped at the chance. It is not often that you get to customize your own haircare.
How custom made shampoo and conditioner works.
The whole process starts with a questionnaire that dives deep into your expectations. For example...
- How many days per week do you use shampoo?
- How many days per week do you use conditioner?
- Where do you live?
- What do you typically use to style your hair?
- How old are you?
- What is your natural hair color?
- How thick is a strand of your hair?
The next step is to determine your hair goals.
And finally, you even get to choose your own scent for your shampoo and conditioner. Even more customized, you will be able to choose how strong you want the scent to be. I have been lucky enough to try out "Burgeon" and "At Dawn." Originally, I was dead set that "Burgeon" was my favorite, but now I am finding that I am leaning towards "At Dawn." This all confirms that I definitely need to test out all the scents.
So, let's get down to what I thought.
I have got to tell you I had my skepticism when Formulate told me that using this custom made shampoo and conditioner would eliminate all my other styling products. I wanted to say
I don't think you truly understand my hair. It has no volume. Like wet dog in the rain no volume.
Not a problem. Formulate assured me I would be happy with the results. Let me say that I was not only happy with the results, but completely shocked. My hair looked healthy, shiny, full of volume, and my style held all day. Also, and this is key living in Washington, no frizz!!
