Style is 10% what you wear and 90% the confidence with which you wear it.
I am Anne and I am a blogger, photographer, and personal stylist. I write for women and a few men who have a love of fashion on a small budget. My goal is to help you love yourself where you are right this minute in your life and dress accordingly.
My Previous Life
As a former professional commercial photographer. I left my full-time job back in 2003 when my husband was activated by the Army to go to Iraq. At first, I loved being home every day with my daughter, but I soon learned that I needed something that was all mine that I could grow and develop. Something that would challenge me. As time wore on, I dabbled in many things. I took up freelance photography, knit commissioned knitting projects, wrote knitting patterns, designed and made jewelry, and sold a direct sales jewelry line. Through it all the one constant was that everywhere I went, I always ended up creating and editing wardrobes of the people I met. I derive so much happiness when I can help someone to see themselves in a new light. You see their face light up and they stand a little taller. I decided to foster this talent, and so resulted in the Daily Fashion Muse.Personal Stylist
I have been styling people a little over 10 years now and decided to create this blog not only as a way to document my thoughts but also as a way to receive feedback. I appreciate that not everyone will like what I like and I am interested in hearing what you like. I hope this blog will inspire you to try new looks. If you are looking for a personal stylist to help you amp up your look I can help.Getting dressed should be fun.
I see it a little like creating a new piece of art every day. While I am sure that many people see clothing as a utility, I see it as a means to be creative and express myself. I am inspired by fashion magazines and adore experimenting with new trends. I often find myself taking mental photographs of outfits I see walking down the street. I can't wait for fashion week to see what the top designers are putting out and how they are putting it together. But above all else, I love to shop and score a great deal. My strategy in fashion is to mix the higher end pieces with budget pieces and to make each piece in your wardrobe work in many different looks. You can look great at any price point. It is all about discovering what works best for your own shape. Everyone deserves to feel great about themselves whatever they may do. My hope is that this blog will help inspire you with "what to wear today". I want it to become your resource for where to shop for a deal and I want to help you navigate all the available online resources for creating your look.Other Things I Do
While personal styling is my passion I do a few other things as well. I am trained in Commercial Photography and still shoot for people and brands on occasion. You can access my portfolio here. I also enjoy knitting and have written several patterns that I sell on Ravelry.
